Post-Apocalyptic Pop: Johnny Stimson – Human Man (New Music and Video)

johnny-stimsonTexas native, Johnny Stimson, has finally kicked off his New Shoes (a 2-track album from 2010) and joined the electronic-infused pop genre with his new single, “Human Man.” The track debuted today with a music video to go along with it. Take a peek below:

The video takes place in post-robot-apocalypse New York where there are few humans left to enjoy music and life’s lovely aspects. Johnny’s soothing voice fills the air as he attracts a purple-haired human towards his handsome musicianship. As she runs through the streets in search of the source of the music, terrifying robots follow her every footstep. The song itself alleviates the suspense of the video through every chorus as the verses seek to build the intensity back up.

Although the chord progression and lyrics themselves are static, the summery vibe exceeds expectations and leads to an enjoyable listen. Needless to say, “Human Man” will no doubt be on my pool party playlist!

You can snag this track on the iTunes for your listening pleasure.
