Show Preview: Dom Kennedy @ The Neptune 11/30/12

West coast rap has made a resurgence in the past few years.

Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey Hussle, Pac Div, TiRon & Ayomari, Overdoz, and many others have been paving a new road for the west coast. But let’s not forget Dom Kennedy. A rapper who has been putting out solid mixtapes for the past couple years (25th Hour, From The Westside With Love, and most recently The Yellow Album) and is about to rock Neptune. The past two times he’s come to Seattle he a) headlined Showbox @ The Market b) Sold out Neumo’s. With a slew of hits under his belt like 1997, My Type of Party, and CDC the show that’s about to happen tonight at STG’s Neptune Theatre is about to be insane. He’s supporting the release of his mixtape released this summer The Yellow Album, and probably also his crew mixtape (OPM Vol.1 Young Nation) with Jay 305 and Polyester.

Openers tonight include Fearce and Beanone of Seattle hip-hop group Dyme Def.
